As a DJ, he regularly spins records in France, Spain, Germany and Switzerland where he resides.

Also known as Nice Kalendar, Seq9, Aerosoul, his productions have appeared on eclectic labels such as Fluid Ounce and Tru Thoughts, and he has remixed artists like Coldcut, David Sylvian and Zed Bias. He is also part of Goaz, a project with DJ Maz.

Gomor aka Anthony Schoffmann enters the Marendadisc family with his own brilliant take on contemporary acid house, providing a club inspired EP and his grooves fit in well with the Lace sound.

A DREAM ABOUT COL DE BANYULS is a pulsating acid drenched track.
It features barbed bass work, sliced vocals and wave after wave of acidic goodness.

OUR SON WELLES is an angular techy winner. Pointed percussion, cool keys and smart synthetics do the work here.

RABLAJOIE provides a storming finish to the EP. Driving strings, mutating acid noises and sharp beats all features.

The Uninvited Partners are the Parisian based pair Sylvian Serval and Nicolas de Susini, who are influenced by everyone from The Doors to Ron Trent and NWA. In the past their music has seen the light of day via Deeplay Soultec, Rachdingue Records and Enjoy Recordings.

FOCUS OF THE SHOGUN is a brilliant dancefloor bound winner. It takes its strength from bright keys, striding beats and cool bass work.

DAY OF THE SHOGUN is a beautifully restrained cut. It features oriental keys, gorgeous strings and bubbling percussion.

RISE OF THE SHOGUN is another heartfelt effort. A rising bass, kaleidoscope keys and soft beats meet on this wonderful EP closer.

DJ Mourad aka Mourad Sliti grew up in Tunis and currently resides in Sweden.

He began DJing in the mid 80s and by the 90s was making his own tracks that have appeared on labels such as GForce, Wallshaker or Selekta.

He has often contributed to the Lace catalogue before – as the third member of the family project Tunis Diaspora with his brothers DJ Nabil and DJ Dali, also remixing Hakan Lidbo, Pawel Kobak, Alton Miller, Aqua Bassino and Manuel Perez - and makes a welcome return with this EP.

PLINK PLANK is a key driven stormer. It features layered percussion, throbbing bass work and of course cool keys.

I ALWAYS KNEW is a more serene affair. Purring synths, steady beats and angelic keys provide the magic here.

FOREIGN CARPENTERS is an acid stomper. The track takes its strength from sturdy beats, gurgling acid and reliable keys.

WHAT THEY THINK:

Rob Warner “Madness! Loving ‘Plink Plank’ big time.”

Andrew Duke “Awesome!”

Sam Labelle “Wow, I love these tracks. A real intriguing production. All three tracks are in my playlist!”

Dean Serafini “I’ve always found that Mourad’s work defies strict definitions and crosses musical boundaries. There’s certainly plenty to apreciate in this EP with all the tracks making a positive impression from the outset.”

Desy Balmer “DJ Mourad rocks! Deadly EP. Full Support!”

Sammy Rock “Dj Mourad delivers a one-two punch with an eclectic release. Spacey keys and deep beats is what makes this E.P special. A great combination of instruments is delivered in this package. Full Support!“

DJ Morpheus “Really like all 3 tracks in here! Top stuff! full support!“

Aaron Carl “I’m playing this HEAVILY… Straight-up, for to the floor… Deep and techy at the same time , but with some CRAZY twist that dares the DJ to step outside the box. Excellent!“

Paradise Already is a smooth deep house gem likely to win over a range of converts. Remixes come from Catalonian starlet Bonnie Drasko and Mark O’Sullivan of DK7 fame.

The ORIGINAL is an effortlessly cool dancefloor winner. It features cool keys, fizzing synthetics and commanding vocals.

BONNIE DRASKO submerges the grooves on his remix. Waves of keys, watery synths and diving beats do the work on his sub-aqua version.

MARK O’SULLIVAN’s Remix has a somewhat darker feel. O’Sullivan employs textured percussion, a groovy bassline and loops the vocals on his cool revision.

MARK O’SULLIVAN’s Jazz Dub is a lively interpretation. It features jumping drums, cutting keys and questioning vocals.

Alton Miller originally joined the Lace family with the three part Everyday I Do release. Here he returns with a brilliant two tracker. Make You Want Me offers two slices of stunning deeper house that feature beautiful instrumentation and the required dancefloor kick. This release shows the deeper side of Lace. It comes after Bonnie Drasko’s powerful To The Rhythm EP and Calico Presents Christian Djor’s sturdy Pour Homme EP.

Detroit’s Alton Miller’s first exposure to music came from the sounds of Motown, Parliament-Funkadelic and Santana in the 70s. This was followed by an exposure to inspiring DJs such as Ron Hardy in the 80s and a friendship with a certain Derrick May. Miller was one of the founders of the seminal Music Institute club in his home city and began DJing in the 80s. A conga drummer by the early 90s, Alton Miller began his production work around a similar time. His first outings appeared on Derrick May’s Fragile, Kevin Saunderson’s KMS and Serious Grooves. Since then, his music has appeared on labels as diverse as Moodymann’s KDJ, 20:20 Vision and Clone. He has also released albums entitled Rhythm Exposed, Stories in Bohemia and Souls Like Mine which have appeared via Distance, Peacefrog/Track Mode and R2 respectively.

MAKE YOU WANT ME is a grooving escapade with smiling synths and sweet keys.

TURNING ON is a similarly touching effort, which features beautiful keys and cool live bass work.

Håkan Lidbo is no stranger to Enjoy Music. Most recently, What Is Love resurfaced on the label, remixed by a host of electronic acts such as Martin Brodin and Brice Bertran. Lidbo’s Hackney To Caracas album was also reissued by Enjoy, a number of years after its original outing on Wrong Steps. Love To Me is an awesome mid tempo vocal escapade that is worthy of both the pop charts and the clubs. It is available in four different versions, suitable for a range of musical situations, and more remixes will follow later this summer.

A musical chameleon and workaholic, Håkan Lidbo has released hundreds of records over the years that have spanned various genres. He has used colourful aliases such as Bobby Trafalgar, Ho Shan-Ling Bu and Miss Bombay 1974. Lidbo’s tunes have appeared on many labels such as Paper, Poker Flat, Loaded, Tongut and Morris Audio. He has produced music for Yello and remixed the likes of Lisa Shaw, Ennio Morricone, Depeche Mode, Fever Ray and Fatboy Slim. Lidbo’s music has appeared in adverts, TV programmes, films, computer games and even a ballet. Lidbo also hosts a radio show on Swedish national radio entitled Ström and organises the Voltfestivalen. Lidbo has even created Xoiiox, a music based game for the iPad and the P2Ström iPhone application.
Yota is a Stockholm born songstress, who is currently based in France. She began working with electronic music producers in the late 90s, hooking up with Scandinavian dance royalty such as Martin Venetjoki, Håkan Lidbo and Zoo Brazil / Laid. A talented writer, Yota has penned songs for major labels that have included Universal. Over the years, she has worked with the likes of Alan Braxe, Stonebridge and John Dahkback, recently releasing a number of tracks with French don Lifelike.

ORIGINAL is a cool electronic number, featuring groovy synths and inviting vocals.

CLUB MIX uses warm bass effects and purring synthetics to create a revision for the dancefloor.

DUB MIX drapes selective vocal elements over magical keys and simple beats.

RADIO EDIT is a neat version for moments that demand a shorter edit.

Yota is born in Stockholm, Sweden. Although her father was a performing singer and music had a great influence in her early life, Yota decided to go for arts school instead. As her first passion in life was art, running an art gallery with some friends along with studying arts was a natural choice for her.

Later on by chance, her best friend connected her with a music producer, she then decided to give music and singing a try and started working with dancemusic in the late 90’s for various electronic projects. Music took over more and more of her time. Later on she got in touch with Anders Mörén (Misty Music) and Håkan Lidbo (Container Publishing) around 2001.

After a signed publishing deal with Misty Music and with the first track “Let me be” with Martin Venetjoki which was released on Mouthful Music (a Chicago based recording label) things started rolling for real. Working with Zoo Brazil/Laid was her first strong release with a certain kind of high quality house music and she decided she would continue to focus on music in this genre.

As a talented melody and lyrics writer she was asked to work for Universal and some other majors.

Analog warfare & acid funky freak… This is DJ Gomor, Nice kalendar, Seq9, Aerosoul Also called Schoffmann Anthony.

The Story began a long time ago… His father was one of the first juke box Wurlitzer dealer and his mother a true fan of Motown, Gainsbourg or “messe pour le temps present” composed by Pierre Henry for Maurice Béjart. The apple never falls very far from the tree!
It is at the age of 12 that Gomor begun djing while picking in the family vinyl collection! This is how Coldcut’s first 45″ ended up in his hands before to be placed in his red colored penny slot-in record player. Further on - and still very young - Anthony was able to make his own musical choices and got into Acid House, New Beat, Chicago Trax, Detroit Techno… up to Fnac Records starring Garnier and Shazz!

Later on, he started producing his own music while recovering vintage instruments, for instance the TB303 that belonged to a Waltz band eager to replace their bass player… Into Funk (which he started to enjoy from the belly of his mother) he used an TR808 as for drums, CZ5000 as a guitar and so on until someone told him :”Hey! This is almost like Cybotron”

A few years later he became a DJ in-demand playing in the area overing the borders of France, Switzerland and Germany where he had a chance to perform with musicians he used to dream about… Nowadays he plays mostly house and techno mixed with some old school vinyls.

At the end of 2007 he launched a record label called Natural Undergroove Resources (N.U.R records) and signed artists like Pascal Brockly, le K, Knor, Dop, Kira Neris, Dj Innerstep , Madnus & Scogil…

Many releases also came on labels such as Fluid Ounce (UK), Revolver (Canada), Neverending Records (France), Rachdingue (Spain), Criminal Beat Cartel (France/Germany) and many others… Being skilled and very productive, his remix list includes big names such as Suzanne Vega, Zed Bias or… Coldcut.

Bonnie Drasko returns to Lace Recordings after the success of his revivalist yet relevant Acid & Fresh EP. To The Rhythm is an exciting three tracker of explosive club music. Taking in a range of old school and new school influences, the cuts will satisfy a range of house and techno audiences. This EP adds to the diversity of the Lace catalogue, following on from Calico presents Christian Djor’s strong Pour Homme and Alvina Red & Manuel Perez’s hypnotic Palm Strings.

Bonnie Drasko is Marius Fabrega, a DJ and producer from Northern Catalonia. Born in 1981, Drasko has had a long love affair with music. He started his musical studies aged 8 and later discovered the joys of electronic music. Aged 18, Bonnie Drasko moved to Barcelona, where he fell under the spell of the city’s club scene, inspired by sounds emanating from Detroit, Chicago and Berlin. He cites the likes of Laurent Garnier, Jean-Michel Jarre and Pablo Bolívar as influences. In 2004, Drasko started DJing and making his own music. In the last five years, he has DJ’d at many clubs and parties. Production work soon followed, with the Acid & Fresh EP appearing on Polytone Germany before the aforementioned outing on this label.

TO THE RHYTHM is a driving floor filler with cool keys and thrusting beats.

UNTIL SEPTEMBER is a dark yet dreamy techy effort, where fat drums, flying synths and hypnotic keys meet.

ROBOTICAL DOG is a swirling synth driven stormer with a mean acid streak.

Max Cherry steps up to the Enjoy Recordings table with a track designed to make you Keep Rockin. It is a grooving slice of house, which is accompanied by a range of remixes. Franck Garcia provides a tasty remix that blurs disco and techy ideals, whilst Suave’s remix does it for jazzier floors and Cherry’s own 80s dub is a bassy revision. Cherry’s Beat Conductor release saw an outing on Enjoy Music in 2009.

Max Cherry is Paris based Maxime Bassole. In 2004, he started the Vicky Productions label with Esteban. Cherry remixed In The Club “She’s A Man” with Richard Bassole, which saw an outing on the Un Eté 2006 compilation. He also remixed Alton Miller’s Everyday I Do, released on Lace. Cherry is also a member of electro-rock outfit Hektor and hiphop duo Full Clip.

Perpignan based Franck Garcia is a classically trained musician. He is best known for his work alongside Caroline Laher aka Mlle Caro. As recording artists for Buzzin’ Fly and Crosstown Rebels, the duo have been very successful. Their second album, Left, was released on Buzzin’Fly in April 2010, which followed 2008’s Pain Disappears LP. Mlle Caro & Franck Garcia’s tracks have been remixed by the likes of Matthew Jonson, Ewan Pearson and Radio Slave.

Suave is a producer based in Languedoc-Roussillon, France. He has been responsible for a number of cool edits of soul and disco tracks, which you can find on his myspace page. He cites the likes of MAW, The Beastie Boys, Nino Ferrer and John Coltrane as influences.

The ORIGINAL is a very danceable effort with cool keys, funked out bass work and spoken vocal commands.

FRANCK GARCIA’S REMIX is a techy disco version, featuring a fun bassline, running synths and vocodered vocals.

SUAVE’S REMIX opts for jazzy pianos, storming beats and crazy brass. The 80S CHERRY DUB is a bass driven version with shaky percussion, sliced vocals and driving synths.
